The “Superior Exhibition on the Protection for Intellectual Property Rights at Conventions and Exhibitions in Guangdong Province”, the Famous Furniture Fair always strives to increase the international competitiveness and the awareness of protection for intellectual property rights of Dongguan’s furniture industry. Under the guidance of the city’s Technology Bureau (Intellectual Property Office), Famous Furniture Association and Dongguan Intellectual Property Rights Protection Association (DGIPPA) proudly introduce a protection service on intellectual property rights for key enterprises in Dongguan’s furniture industry.

Entitled “Key Enterprises under the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Dongguan’s Furniture Industry”, the project aims to recognise furniture exhibitors and enterprises in Dongguan with at least 20 patents, a certain level of reputation and a certain size in production and sales scales, and a pure record in malicious tort on intellectual property rights. Upon compulsory examination process by a panel of experts from DGIPPA and Famous Furniture Association, qualified enterprises and exhibitors will be awarded a bilingual Rights Protection Warning and the certificate of “Key Enterprise under the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Dongguan’s Furniture Industry”, which can be used at exhibitions and in their franchisees’ branches. If the enterprises are challenged by a tort in the fair or within the sales activities in the current year, the association would provide the enterprises with services such as one-time free delivery of rights protection warning and negotiation, assistance during administrative investigation and judicial procedures, free consultant service, information about intellectual property rights and recommendation of right protection agencies. Protected enterprises as well as the protection service on intellectual property rights during the fair will be promoted in news media.

Fifteen enterprises have obtained the recognition as the first batch, including Dickson Furniture, Shida Furniture, Bigwig Furniture and Yongxin Furniture.
