Rooms To Go has acquired 60 acres in PEARL RIVER, La. for an 858,000-square-foot distribution center and outlet store. The construction cost for the project is an estimated of $45 million. It will includes a 40,000-square-foot outlet begin this spring and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2009.
The Seffner, Fla.-based company said the 818,000-square-foot distribution center will serve Gulf Coast and four stores: Baton Rouge, Metairie, Gretna and Covington in Louisiana. It will deliver to customers from Panama City, Fla., to Baton Rouge and allows RTG to offer expanded next-day delivery in the area.
