The HongKong  Furniture Association was founded in 1991 and is a non profit-making organization. We are glad that the IFHK Association gradually grows up under the efforts and supports of every member and people of the furniture industry in the past twelve years. Now we have over 160 top furniture enterprises join as member, which construct a leading team in the furniture market of China.

Our main objectives are to provide services and co-ordinate members in many ways; to promote and foster furniture manufacturing and trading; to explore and develop the overseas furniture markets; and to assist the members in technology exchange as well. The IFHK Association always keeps the members informed about the developing trend of the international furniture industry, advanced technologies and machineries, new furniture material…etc., in order to improve their manufacturing.

For over 20 years, IFHK Association always co-organized and participated in some large-sized Furniture Exhibition held in Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian and Shenzhen and some other big cities in China. In November 2001, IFHK Association decided to jointly organize “the 7^th International Famous Furniture Exhibition Fair ( Dongguan)” with Dongguan Famous Furniture Association. The exhibition is the largest scale, the most well known and most business opportunities.

The IFHK Association frequently contacts and co-operates with international bodies; and actively attends international affairs. Since its inauguration, the IFHK Association regularly organizes trade missions to overseas countries, for examples, Italy, Japan, Germany and Singapore. Starting from the year of 1993, we have been organizing trade missions to visit Europe annually. Further in 1995, the IFHK Association started sent groups to visit the International Furniture & Machinery Exhibitions held respectively in Japan, Singapore and Middle East. We took the advantage of Hong Kong’s geographical conditions to meet with businessman from France, Italy, Germany and the other countries all over the world to communicate.

The IFHK Association also places emphasis on the importance of industrial education and training. We are frequently inform members of the seminars and training courses held, e.g. the lecture of WTO, Enterprises Development Tactics and China Customs Quarantine.

With the reputation and influence of IFHK Association creasing, and according the members founding factories in mainland China and many furniture companies request to join our membership at present, IFHK Association established the Domestic Office in Shenzhen. Domestic Office has complete personnel to make things convenient for members. In the future, we will provide and organize more diversified activities and professional information exchange. We will play a much active role in domestic and international exhibitions, expanding the market, rationalizing the industry, spread technologies and material etc.
